In Islamic countries, young Christian girls are abducted and coerced into converting to Islam and married off to Muslim men in an organized manner. These conversions are often backed by powerful shrines, seminaries, and clerics as well as politicians. Seminaries and shrines protect the couple and say the girl has willingly eloped, converted, and married.

Recently, a video of a Nigerian girl has been released, showing a young girl Becky, converting to Islam in Nigeria. The teen girl is being guided by the governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje. In the video, the governor Abdullahi Ganduje leads the young girl in embracing Islam by reciting the Islamic pronouncement of faith “ I testify “La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad Rasool Allah.” This means “There is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God.” Furtherly, in the video, he asked her to pick the new Islamic name.

Although in Nigeria, the conversion is not illegal but converting underage people to Islam on a national level is a plot against the Christians of the Kano State. The governor, who is a symbol of the Federation, is involved in converting the people by using his influence and it is a misuse of the power of the office of Governor.

It is observed in Islamic countries that Christian girls and women are often been forced to convert to Islam and then married to a Muslim man in an organized manner, so her family would unable to access the girl furthermore. Every year thousands of Christian girls and women are abducted and forced to convert to Islam and even in many of the Islamic countries conversion of such is stand legal.
